It’s official: Yorba Linda High football has become a pipeline program for Boise State.
Senior offensive lineman Mason Randolph on Tuesday, Sept. 15 became the third Yorba Linda player in as many recruiting classes to commit to the Mountain West Conference contender.
Randolph will join forces in Idaho with defensive end Michael Callahan (class of 2019) and offensive lineman Nathan Cardona (class of 2020) at Boise State.
Randolph referred to his close friends in a tweet announcing his commitment, calling it a “Threepeat.”

“It’s awesome,” Yorba Linda football coach Jeff Bailey said. “(Boise State) has been first-class with all three in their recruitment. Michael Callahan, who has been there for over a year now, absolutely loves it.
“Nathan just started, but what I have heard from his father (that he) loves it, too. I couldn’t be happier for Mason.”
Bailey said Randolph could project as an offensive guard at Boise State. Last season, he played right tackle at Yorba Linda while Cardona held down left tackle.
The Broncos’ success with offensive linemen from Orange County extends well beyond Yorba Linda.
Center Kekaniokoa Holomalia-Gonzalez (Mater Dei) and right guard Donte Harrington (San Clemente) are projected starters, according to Ourlads scouting, and Nick Crabtree (Huntington Beach) is a second-string tackle.
The Broncos’ 2020 recruiting class includes one-time USC-committed lineman Kyle Juergens of St. Margaret’s.
The Boise State offense also could feature former San Clemente and USC quarterback Jack Sears.
The defense is led by former county standouts Avery Williams (JSerra) and Riley Whimpey (San Clemente).
